Show Notes
HOW CHURCHES CAN HELP FAMILIES HURT BY ADDICTION
FEATURING DR. CHIP DODD
Addiction is a disease that affects many families. As churches help families in crisis, Elisabeth and Jeremy wanted to give two perspectives on addiction: professional and personal. In this episode, they interview “Mama Bear,” a mother who walked through a drug addiction with her son. She gives us a real-life, vulnerable, and honest perspective of the struggle. Then they interview the founder of Sage Hill and the co-founder of Bent Tree Counseling Centers, Dr. Chip Dodd. He takes us deeper into what’s going on in the mind of an addict helping explain in simple terms how best to understand what’s happening and what to do about it. If you have families affected by addiction, this episode will bring awareness, education, and insight.
